Alloy Belt Drive Kit for Triumph T120 Bonneville / TR6 Trophy / 6T Thunderbird Unit Models 1963-73

Hard anodized alloy clutch basket with belt which can run wet or dry

Can Run Dry for racing use, but are not affected by the weather.

These belts are lighter, more efficient and better wearing than steel chains.

Standard Warranty 12 Months. Note, this does not cover racing use.

FITTING SAME AS A STANDARD CHAIN, BUT NO TENSIONER REQUIRED

Triumph T120/TR6 Belt Drive Fitting Notes

The clutch drum replaces the original clutch chain wheel directly.

No other clutch components are changed from the original.

Refer to workshop manual for assembly of the clutch (99-0889).

The front pulley replaces the engine sprocket (the extractor threads are 5/16" unf)

Again, no other components are changed. 

Remove any shims that may have been used to obtain chain alignment and any spacers that may be lurking hidden on the engine mainshaft.

Fit front pulley and then the rotor spacer (you may need to add a shim onto the engine main shaft so thatthe alternator rotor clamps onto this spacer, and that the rotor is not clamping directly onto the front belt pulley)

The chain tensioner slipper is not required and should be removed.

The belt should have 8 - 12mm total up and down free play with a cold engine.

Take care not to snag the belt on any sharp corners during assembly.

    I'm in the middle of installation, so don't know how well it works.
    On the good side, all the bearing surfaces are steel, so it should last (I was worried).
    On the bad side, there was not one word of documentation, so I have no idea how to set the oiler or the tension.

    Fitting instructions would have been better as there is nothing on YouTube but otherwise what it says on the tin! Delivered speedily ( well it is for a Triumph T120:ok_hand:)
