12v Boyer Bransden Micro-Power MKIV Ignition Kit for BSA & Triumph Twins and Royal Enfield Interceptor

This kit negates the need for the auto advance unit, points, points plate and condensers which can be the cause of running problems. This kit contains everything needed for the conversion.

Micro Power Kit consists of;

a) Transistor Box (BLUE box with wires)
b) Stator Plate (round printed circuit board with two coils)
c) Magnetic Rotor (round plated steel unit with two magnets)
d) 1.25" x 0.25" BSF bolt (Norton)
e) 1.25" x 0.25" UNF bolt (Triumph)
f) Plastic strap
g) Coil positive earthing wire, red 1ft.
h) Terminals: 4 female spades, 1 piggyback spade, 2 male bullets & 1 ring.
I) Dual output digital ignition coil, bolts/nuts/washers, h.t.clips, boots & tie-straps
j) Two NGK suppressed plug caps, 1metre h.t. lead

Manufacturers Description

The Boyer Bransden range of Analogue MKIII ignition units are being progressively changed to improved MKIV versions. The changes are designed to improve the timing stability if engine starting with a very low or variable battery voltage. The design changes are internal and do not affect the external appearance of the unit. Identified by the 'MKIV' caption on the label the new units are fully interchangeable with previously produced MK3 and MK1a units, and offer improved performance for both electric and kick start machines. All Digital and Power designs will remain as before.

Easy to install with little adaption of the wiring. Improves starting and running. I've fitted these kits to both my 1970 BSA Thunderbolt and my 1978 Triumph T140e.

The Boyer Micro Power Ignition system has been set up on my 1969 MK2 Interceptor. Everything was easy to fit without any problems and the instructions are easy to follow. I am looking forward to finishing the bikes rebuild and running it with this new system.
