Boyer Micro Digital Electronic Ignition Kit - 12v Singles, Side Points - BSA, Triumph
Suitable for 12V Points on Side of the engine singe Cylinder models including:
- BSA C15 1963-67
- BSA B40 1963-67
- BSA C25 1967
- BSA B25 1967-72
- BSA B44 1966-70
- BSA B50 1970-73
- Triumph T20 Cub 1963-70
- Triumph TR25W 1968-70
- Triumph T25 1971-72
These kits are used to replace the original Lucas Points Plate Assembly (and Condensers) and the Advance and Retard Mechanism. The Boyer Bransden Electronic Ignition is proved to be very reliable, easy to fit, with no maintenance.
For the best results a stroboscope should be used.
Manufacturers Description
The Micro Digital ignition provides almost total control over ignition functions. In common with the MKIII, it offers electronic control of advance and retard functions. However, because the Micro Digital features a built in computer, the size of a postage stamp, it can make more than a million ignition decisions per second, to constantly monitor engine speed and time the spark precisely to suit. The programming of this micro processor also gives control over ignition coil energy, starting speed, tickover stabilisation and rev limits!
In this system, ignition timing is controlled - in bands of 50 r.p.m. over the entire speed range, this gives the ability to programme any firing angle required. To help engine power at idle, the timing can be advanced, on and below the idle speed, this stabilises and reduces the chance of stalling. From idle, the advance can be sharper than provided by the previous Mk3 system, giving even better throttle response. The Micro-Digital system makes the best possible use of standard coils

I was having real problems starting my 1968 BSA B44 Victor Special although once started it runs well. I've fitted this electronic ignition and after a month of trying to get it going, it started second kick! Off to Weston-super-Mare bike on 16th July to show it off. Thanks 3B's Dom

Ignition arrived promptly and well packaged, although a shame the link to track the package wouldn't allow me to track the package, the reason explained upon contacting. Fitting was straight forward and I now have spark the size of a house and arriving when it should.
