My chainguard on my '67 Triumph Bonneville T120R cracked at the grommet hole. I had it welded and then spent a day smoothing the weld and sanding the chainguard to prep it for painting. Then came a primer coat and a couple coats of high gloss black. Beaucoup work. A year later the chainguard cracked again in a new direction at the grommet hole. This time I wised up and bought a new one from Burton Bike Bits. It arrived quickly and is beautiful, fully finished and painted. It fits perfectly. I only wish I had bought a new one after the original crack in the old one.
