Very light weight as you would expect, looks quality made unlike some of the iron ones. Fitted it with the alloy friction plates which did seem a little loose in the slots. There is also a fair amount of play when all assembled on the centre hub but I think that is normal. It works well with no rattles or slipping and a nice smooth take up. Rated it as 4 stars as I suppose the most important test is how long it lasts!

GREAT PRODUCT. FINISH IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE CAST IRON ITEM. NOT FITTED THIS ONE YET BUT HAVE USED ONE BEFORE IN A 500 BSA COMPETITION MOTOR AND IT HAS BEEN FINE. THE GROOVES WILL WEAR BUT NO MORE THAN IN AN IRON ONE. ON MY 500 MOTOR I ALSO USE AN ALLOY ENGINE SPROCKET AND THE TEETH ON SPROCKET AND DRUM HAVE NOT WORN. ALSO IT IS MUCH LIGHTER.
