I looked at everything from the cheap EMGO's to the NH Togas and everything in between. Being fairly cheap when it comes to spending money on myself I set myself a middle of the road $300 limit.

I finally found cans that met that requirement and my 2nd one, they must be UK made. I went with Britishbikebits.com and their UK made #70-5866 replicas, $224 plus shipping to the states put me at $302. The remnants of manufacturers tag was still on the box and had a part number that I tracked down and I found out that they are made by BRITURO.

I must say, I was pretty apprehensive once it came time to push the start button…would they sound tinny and cheap or, too high pitched, too loud, too quiet….or what????

Holy crap!!!! They are exactly what I had hoped for…a nice deep throaty sound at idle and a chest rocking roar once you hit the throttle

Prices ranging from $60 a piece (EMGOs) to over $600 and everything in between. I'm a bit of a tight wad when it comes to spending money on myself so I set my limit at a mid-range $300, which led me to these. I knew I wanted UK made, not Asian, and these fit that criteria so I pulled the trigger.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I hit the start button, a tinny, high pitch rattle or what? Well I can say, with out any hesitation, that these sound EXACTLY what I thought a Bonneville should sound like. A nice deep throaty rumble at idle and a chest rocking roar on the throttle, without being too obnoxious. All my buddies at work think it sounds badass. They are all jealous Harley riders.

Oh, for what it's worth, the UK manufacturer of the silencers I received is "Brituro", part #BES 48A1, according to the tag that was still on the boxes.

I couldn't be more pleased. Thanks BBB.
